This course will prepare students for work in the driving industry. Students will be able to operate vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of 26,000 pounds or less, as long as the vehicle being towed weighs more than 10,000 pounds.

This course is designed for individuals who are involved in day-to-day operations where workers and the general public are exposed to traffic hazards created by vehicles and/or equipment.

OSHA’s mission is to ensure the protection of workers and prevent work-related injuries, illnesses, and deaths by setting and enforcing standards, and by providing training, outreach, education and assistance.  

Courses include, among others, safety, mathematics, recognition of standard tools, blueprint reading, communication skills and employability skills.

The welding technology program will prepare students to work in a wide variety of industries, from car racing to manufacturing. The work that welders do and the equipment they use vary, depending on the industry. 

In this course you will work on a service project, doing hands-on work to gain extra skills in construction and tool usage.
